Breakfast with Piers Mettrick
Monday - Friday 7am - 10am
Piers worked in a number of jobs over the years but trained as a Chef in the 80’s and worked in hotels for a number of years, but always had a passion for music and radio since working on Hospital Radio. He was then lucky enough to work on a number of Commercial Radio Stations across the UK. Later in life he found the urge to act and has appeared in a few films and TV shows from Emmerdale to Wild Child and recently appeared in the series Meet the Richardsons.
Classical Gas with James Bierney
Sunday 8pm - 10pm
James Bierney hails from Wexford, Ireland. As a teenager he was told to have his voice trained and, no lion tamers being available, attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He spent the 1990s singing and broadcasting in South Africa. After moving to London he had twelve very happy years living and working in the UK. Since returning to Wexford he has given himself over to listening to music every day (which passes for work) and serious beard growing. He still sings but is too lazy for opera. In his show Classical Gas he proves that he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of music but absolutely no taste!

Dave D, he doesn’t smile much, but he does love his music! On his Drivetime show Dave takes you back through the 1980s, bringing you plenty of great music from the ’80s, some from the ’90s, and a few of today’s current chart hits.
50 Years and Rolling with Leo Kirby
Friday 2pm - 4pm
Leo Kirby began his broadcasting life on pirate radio and then on student radio. He then broadcast on FM hospital radio where in 2011 he received Limericks Local Presenter of the Year Award for Hospital Radio. He also presented a show on local FM radio for his home city Limerick in Ireland.
In more recent times he has presented music shows on internet radio stations. The music he plays is extremely versatile From U2 to Calvin Harris, from Steely Dan to Coldplay, from emerging acts such as Loah and Dermot Kennedy to classics such as The Police and David Bowie. If you have any interest in music from the last 5 decades with an Irish soft easy voice doing the links in between the tunes, with personality and high quality production thrown in, then this is the show for you. The Daily Drop with George Heron

George Heron brings you a daily show that aims to lift you from your busy life and give you an injection of great music & a bit of gossip each day at 10am. He’s been involved in radio for a good few years now and recently diversified to writing comedy sketch’s for TV. As a product of the 60’s his musical influences come from the 80s but he does enjoy music from across the decades and you’ll find much of these in his show THE DAILY DROP.
Retro Chart Show with Dave Mac
Tuesday 12pm - 2pm
Dave has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years and has worked extensively as a presenter in Scottish commercial radio for most of that time. He is a self confessed chart geek with an extensive music library of vinyl and CD’s that you can hear him play on the Retro Chart Show. He’s a handy man to have on your pub quiz team as well as there’s hardly a random fact about music he doesn’t know! The Retro Chart Show started in 2015 and can now be heard on over 30 radio stations worldwide and is particularly popular in British ex-pat hotspots across the world where people look forward to their weekly musical trip back to the UK!
Dance Party with Lee Everest

Lee Everest is a radio presenter with over three years’ experience working on live radio, for community stations as well as pre-recording and voice tracking shows. His Dance Party will definitely get your feet moving for the weekend!
Murphy's Country

Eamonn Murphy country music to country music was in the late 60s, when I heard a bluegrass group called The Smokey Mountain Ramblers. The 1st singer I remember dancing to was Philomena Begley in the Kildara Hotel, Kildare town, from then on it was Big Tom, Brian Coll, plus lots of other country bands that visited the dance halls in the West of Ireland. The Lisdoonvarna Folk Festival around 1980 & the visit of Emmylou Harris with her hit at the time “Roses in the Snow” made an impact. In the late 80s and 90s a lot of pirate radio stations were up and running in the country, before the Government closed them down, I started in a station called “Country Gold” run by Country Bob Murphy it was near Daly’s Cross on the Dublin Rd. Later I presented on Galtee Radio, Irish Country Radio & a few years on a Community Radio Station in Kilkee, Co. Clare. “All were live & on F.M”. Then eleven years on Irishcountrymusicradio up to January 2021. I have been pre-recording a two hour country show called “Murphy’s Country” for quite a number of years including Country Music from different parts of the world and can be listened to on my f/b page & Murphy’s Country Facebook Page at any time. James has been broadcasting since he was a teenager and has multi-tasked as a DJ, producer, TV presenter, journalist, reporter, as well as distribution manager – at numerous TV and radio and stations in the UK, and globally. James has also been lucky enough to work closely, during his time at the BBC, with celebrities as diverse as the Rolling Stones, the Pet Shop Boys, Jeremy Clarkson, and Simon Bates, to name just a few. James has been described as having radio and TV “in his blood” and is a perfect addition to the team with The Greatest Hits of Music . Each week James plays both the greatest and the latest songs, including a clutch from both the current UK and US Top 40, as well as occasional surprising chart-toppers from elsewhere around the world.

Phil B Mashups

Phil B is a DJ and mashup artist from Brighton. His #PhilBMashups radio show features current house tracks and throwbacks plus some surprises mashed up in the mix. This show had previously gained popularity on American radio and can now additionally be heard on many radio stations the UK & Ireland, Europe, North America and New Zealand. His favourite artists include The Prodigy, Pendulum, Muse, Metallica and Queen to name but a few. He calls upon his broad range of musical experiences to bring different genres into his mashup show in addition to the core current house tracks and dance anthems. Phil B creates his own eclectic mashups such as “Out Out Miracle”, “Doctorin’ The Parklife” & “Donald Where’s Your Wellerman?” which have been featured in clubs & radio stations in the UK and internationally. Phil B started DJing in the 90s in South London and enjoyed performing at various clubs, parties and on his radio shows. After a bit of a break from the scene for family and work commitments, he is back with his radio shows, mashup creations and DJ engagements.

From a very young age, I used to play my big sisters singles and mimic Jim O’Neil back-announcing Kung Fu Fighting and Video Killed the Radio Star. I accidentally fell into community radio in the 80’s when someone asked me to cover their slot and I got hooked. Since living in Wexford in the late 2000’s I’ve been presenting rock shows on a couple of local stations in Wexford and Waterford. I feel there’s something really special about hearing a great rock tune on the radio so that’s all I’m trying to do-play good music on the air!ay
Easy Sunday with Al Smart

After a lifelong interest in radio broadcasting, especially those based on ships and
abandoned wartime forts (Big L, RNI & Laser 558), I started as a volunteer with Carillon
Radio (a hospital radio station) in 2007. Initially, I started recording programmes at the
studios, but a year or so later from home and have carried on ever since.
I left Carillon Radio after a couple of years and ventured into the big wide world of internet
radio. My main signature programme back then was “Easy Sunday”, and it continues
through to today. A wide variety of music from the 1950’s to the present day, together with
a number of features to keep you entertained. Radio as it should be, absolutely.

Daniel was founder member of Yell! In the 1990s. Yell!had top ten hits with Instant Replay. Then Lets Go Round Again. One Thing Leads to Another. And the Album Lets Go. He wrote several tracks on the album. Daniel is an actor too. Roles on UK TV Shows, Coronation Street, Casualty. Eastenders. The Last Tango In Halifax. Bad Girls. US TV Series, Passions. The Big Question in each hour asks a useless bit of trivia for you to guess the answer to, the questions are useless and the answers even more so, but great fun guessing!

I fell in love with radio whilst listening to the Pirates. As mid teenagers, a friend and I would regularly visit the offices of radio’s Caroline, London & 390 in London to hang out, ogle the secretaries and meet an occasional DJ.
My mother had returned to her native Australia and not long after our Pirates were closed down I made my second visit and was delighted to find an abundance of pop stations in Sydney – and once again began to hang out at the studios of my favourite Aussie stations.
At the age of 21 I was on a working holiday back in Oz when I was invited onto a small AM station. I have jumped behind the mic as often as I could ever since!
I love stations like ours. No station policy meetings, no playlist adherence, no bombarding the audience with endless ads or promos, and not a management memo in sight – just a bunch of people doing their best to entertain. I like being here – I hope it shows.
